Town Clerk arrested for theft, forgery

ADAMS COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU)-- A town clerk is arrested in Adams County.

The sheriff's department says 53-year-old Deena Griffin is being held in the Adams County Jail.

Deputies say Griffin, who is the Town of Rome Clerk, is expected to be charged with theft, forgery, and misconduct in public office.

They would not release details of her arrest, but say it was the result of an on-going investigation by the Adams County Sheriff's Department.
