TOWN OF ROCK CREEK, Wis. (WEAU) - A town board is trying to find a middle ground as farmers and drivers are at odds over irrigators.
At the Rock Creek Town Board meeting Thursday night, drivers voiced their concerns about irrigators spraying water over roads. They say the water can cause dangerous situations on the roads and the water is rusting their cars.
Farmers say the fix is not a cheap one, and it can take a while to get the part that remedies the problem.
The board decided Thursday night that if a problem is reported, the farmers will have 30 days to address it. After the 30 days, if it hasn't been resolved in that time, they'll refer it to the Dunn County Sheriff's Department.
Also at the meeting, people discussed crops blocking driver's sight at corners and irrigators draining wells.
