Trooper almost hit during traffic stop
(WEAU) Eau Claire, Wis.-- Some incredible video released by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
Dash cam video catches a trooper's worst nightmare almost playing out.
The trooper pulls over a car and as he is speaking with the people inside, a semi speeds by, almost hitting the car. The trooper likely would have been hit if he had been on that side of the road.
The Wisconsin State Patrol hopes the video will show you just how easy troopers can get hit.
Law Enforcement want you to remember to move over to the other lane if you see someone on the side of the road.
The semi driver in the video was eventually stopped and issued multiple citations.
Last year, 10 state patrol vehicles were hit while stopped on the side of road and eight troopers were hurt. So far this year, six vehicles have been hit.
