EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – A man and a woman are accused of robbing someone who was allegedly going to pay the woman for a sex act.

Eau Claire Police arrested Shawna Kirk, 22, and Paige Rodriguez, 23, both of Altoona. Officers responded to Folsom Street and N. Clairemont Avenue in Eau Claire on Wednesday. They say the victim told them he had taken money out of an ATM, and was going to use it to "solicit an act of prostitution from" Kirk. Kirk and Rodriguez met with him, and then drove him to a secluded area. That’s where Rodriguez claimed to have a gun, and demanded money from him. Rodriguez and Kirk took off. Altoona police and Eau Claire County deputies caught them later.

On Thursday, court records show that charges of Robbery with Use of Force and Prostitution, both as Party to a Crime, were filed against both Kirk and Rodriguez. Court records go on to say that both Kirk and Rodriguez are free on signature bonds.
