Two crashes in Pierce County send several people to the hospital

PIERCE COUNTY, Wis, (WEAU)-Two separate crashes sent several people to the hospital in Pierce County.

The first happened just before 4:00 am at County Road K and 810th street in Trimbelle Township. Deputies say a car didn't stop at an intersection, went into the ditch and went into the air, hitting a tree.
The driver, 20-year-old Brandon Walter of Ellsworth was flown and passenger 21-year-old Andrew Szatkowski was driven to the hospital with undetermined injuries.

The second crash happened around 1:00pm this afternoon at Highway 128 and County Highway B in Spring Lake Township.
Deputies say a car driven by 63-year-old Dennis Schwede of rural Spring Valley left the roadway into a ditch, hitting several trees.
The car went flying through the air into a cornfield. Dennis and his passenger 25-year-old Torence Schwede were thrown from the car.
Both were flown to the hospital with unknown injuries.
