Two men accused of stealing scrap metal from home

CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU)-- Chippewa County deputies arrested two men accused of taking scrap metal from a home in Dunn County.

Chippewa County Sheriff, Jim Kowalczyk, says deputies arrested 24-year-old Richard Lipina and 22-year-old Jesse Thoms.

On Wednesday, The sheriff says deputies got a call of two men taking scrap metal from a yard and home in Dunn County and putting it in a pickup truck. The caller was able to follow the truck and deputies later arrested Lipina and Thoms in Chippewa County.

Kowalczyk says he believes the men did not know the owner of the house.
