Two men arrested in Rusk County beating

LADYSMITH, Wis. (WEAU)-- Deputies arrest two men in connection with a beating that sent a person to the hospital.

The Rusk County Sheriff's Department says 24-year-old Cody Roberts and 24-year-old Randy Desjardins are both being held in the Rusk County jail.

The beating happened on Thursday in the Town of Thornapple, which is southwest of Ladysmith. The victim had severe head injuries.

Deputies say both Roberts and Desjardins could face multiple charges including second-degree reckless attempted homicide and aggravated battery.

The victim was taken to the hospital. That person's name or a motive for the beating have not been released.
