Two people arrested in shooting in Rusk County

GLEN FLORA, Wis. (WEAU)--Two people were arrested in a shooting in Rusk County. The Rusk County Sheriff's Department says 47 year-old Connie J. Nicholson and 48 year-old Michael B. Tankersley were taken into custody Friday night.

Deputies responded to a mobile home around 9 p.m. Friday and found a woman lying on the floor. They say she had been shot in the leg.

The sheriff says a group of people were gathered for a campfire when the shooting happened. He says investigators do not have a motive for the shooting right now but say alcohol was a factor.

The victim was taken to the hospital and released. Her name hasn't been released.
