TREMPEALEAU COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU)-- Two people were sent to the hospital after their SUV crashed into a tractor that was pulling a cattle feeder.

The crash in Trempealeau County happened just before nine Thursday night, west of Galesville.

The Trempealeau County Sheriff's Office says the driver of the tractor, Dale Fink, 51, from Trempealeau, was in the lane of traffic when the Ford Explorer, driven by Arthur Czaplewski, 83, of Fountain City, hit it. Deputies say bad lighting on the tractor was a factor in the crash.

Both Czaplewski and his passenger, Marilyn Hansen, 84, of Winona, were taken to a La Crosse hospital with severe injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
