FRIENDSHIP, Wis. (WEAU) -- We now know the name of two of the victims of a fire that killed two people and injured a third on Monday.
The Adams County Sheriff's Office says Ronald Peak, 79, of the Town of Easton died in the fire. His wife, Joann Peak, 77, remains in a Madison hospital. Investigators are using DNA evidence to identify the second person who died in the fire. Deputies say they will identify him when the Adams County Medical Examiner confirms his identity.
Investigators say a fire started in a camper that was parked near the victims' mobile home. The flames spread to the mobile home. Peak was found inside. The unidentified victim was found in the camper. Investigators believe the fire was an accident, but their investigation is ongoing.
