Two men rescued from river last weekend in La Crosse
(WEAU) - Two men had to be rescued from the Mississippi River this weekend after jumping in to cool off.
La crosse police say Justin Gruna, 24, from Holmen and Joshua Klug, 23, from Merrill jumped into the river at Riverside Park early Sunday morning.
It says Riverfest security helped get one of the men out, and a police officer threw a rope to the other.
Both were cited for public intoxication and for being in the park after hours.
