EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- UW-Eau Claire teamed up with a food bank to bring attention to people who are struggling with hunger.
There was a special viewing of 'A Place at the Table' in the Davies center at UW-Eau Claire.
The film follows the story of three people directly affected by hunger and offers insights on ways communities can provide food access to everyone.
UW-Eau Claire, UW extension and Feed My People food bank put on the viewing film.
Mary Canales, a nursing professor at UW-EC says, "so I think there's a lot of momentum and these kinds of events, when you have some direction to guide people can kind of just be that spark that really energizes them to get involved."
After the film, a discussion was held with a panel that included two uw-Eau Claire students directly affected by food insecurity.
