UW-Eau Claire selling surplus during spring sale

(WEAU) - People in Eau Claire can get their hands on a wide variety of things at a discount this spring at UW-Eau Claire.

The university's surplus store started its Spring Public Surplus sales Thursday and will hold one every other Thursday until May 30th. The sale includes items like computers, printers and office furniture among many others.

Organizers say the bottom line is helping the environment. Administration Services Supervisor Erik Simonsen told us they’ve “got a goal to keep everything out of the land fill, so whether it be sold back to the public or dealt with with proper recycling, we try to do that. But we really try to keep everything we can out of the land fill, that's our overall goal."

The sales run at the store from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. each Thursday it's open and is located in the maintenance and central stores building on the school's upper campus.
