EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- UW-Eau Claire plans to name its next athletic director on Friday morning.

The university says it will hold a news conference, and that both Chancellor James Schmidt and Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Beth Hellwig will speak. Earlier this month, Robin Baker, Rick Goeb, Charles Gross, and Daniel Schumacher were named as finalists for the job.

Director of Athletics Scott Kilgallon announced a plan to retire June 30. Last month, Webster University in St. Louis, MO announced that Kilgallon would become its director of athletics.
