EAU CLAIRE, Wis. A dedication ceremony is held Wednesday for the newest building at UW-Eau Claire.
Centennial Hall is the first new academic building on the campus in 30 years.
The building houses the departments of Education and English and provides more classroom space.
Chancellor James Schmidt says the building brings many benefits to students.
"It provides the room to do things, it provides classroom styles and size and styles that's going to be able to be used and it incorporates all kinds of technology to be used in the learning process," explains Schmidt.
Classes began in the new Centennial Hall on January 21st.
Wednesday's dedication was on the anniversary of the 1910 selection of UW-Eau Claire's building site.
