UW-Stout Chancellor accepts Ice Bucket Challenge

MENOMONIE, Wis. (WEAU)- Just as students were moving into their dorms Sunday the UW-Stout Chancellor made an icy splash for two good causes.

Chancellor Bob Meyer took the ice bucket challenge after being nominated by CVTC President Bruce Barker.

Meyer says he and his wife made a donation to ALS research but the giving doesn't end there.

Beverly Deyo Svendsen, an academic department associate at Stout, took the winning bid to dump the bucket of ice water on top of Meyer. In return, she and her husband are donating $10,000 to the Stout University Foundation Scholarship Fund.

Meyer calls it a win-win for the university and the ALS Association.
