Menomonie, Wisc. (NEWS RELEASE) -- From: Petre (Nelu) Ghenciu, Chair, UW-Stout Chancellor Search and Screen Committee

We have been notified that Bryan Albrecht, president of Gateway Technical College, is withdrawing as a candidate for chancellor at UW-Stout.

I would like to thank Bryan for participating in the process to date. Furthermore, I am confident that the UW System Board of Regents and President Ray Cross will be presented with extremely qualified candidates for the position.

Interviews with a special Board of Regents committee and President Cross are scheduled for May 21. The Board of Regents is scheduled to vote on a replacement for Chancellor Charles W. Sorensen the week of May 25.
