UW-Stout hosts annual Health and Wellness Fair

(WEAU) - Getting fit and staying healthy was the focus of an event at UW-Stout Wednesday.

People were able to get free health screenings, donate blood to the Red Cross and try a fitness class at the university's annual Health and Wellness Fair. The free event, put on by the school's campus wellness committee, hosted more than 50 vendors and plenty of activities.

Director of Student Health Services at UW-Stout Janice Ramaeker told us why they hold the fair every year. “Just reinforcing how important it is for them to incorporate wellness into their lifestyle whether it be physical, healthy eating, spiritual, intellectual, the whole gamete of wellness is important."

People also brought nonperishable food to help the Stepping Stones Food Pantry in Menomonie.
