Vizio recalling thousands of flat screen televisions

(NBC)-- Vizio is recalling thousands of flat screen televisions because of a potential faulty stand.

It involves Vizio's 39 and 42 inch E-series flat screen televisions.
The company says the stand assembly can fail and cause the television to tip over unexpectedly.

Vizio has received 51 reports of the recalled televisions tipping over.
The recall impacts about one-quarter million televisions sold at Best Buy, Target, Walmart and other retail stores nationwide.
