Volunteers wrap presents for Jason's Presents

(WEAU) - People were getting presents ready to brighten up the Christmas of many children in Chippewa County.

It was for the Jason’s Presents program. Chippewa County Deputy Jason Zunker was killed in the line of duty. The program helps less fortunate families by providing gifts to those families that cannot afford them.

Local officers went shopping for the gifts and Monday night, volunteers helped wrap the presents.

The presents will be handed out at their annual Christmas party Wednesday night at the Knights of Columbus in Chippewa Falls.
