WAYY teams up with Boys and Girls Club to buy backpacks for kids

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) With the school year fast approaching, many families have started their back to school shopping.

But some can't afford all the supplies on those lists.

That's why a group of radio personalities from WAYY, along with members of the Boys and Girls Club, was outside Mancino's in Eau Claire earlier Thursday, raising money to buy backpacks for kids.

The backpacks will be purchased, filled with supplies, and ready for kids to pick up by the end of this week.

This is the 11th year WAYY has raised money for backpacks.
