WEAU tower closer to completion

By  |

Fairchild (WEAU) - The WEAU transmission tower is now higher than 1900 feet.

Once again, weather has been troublesome the last few weeks at higher levels.

Wind and icy conditions have kept crews on the ground at various times.

There is just one more section to go before the tower itself is built.

Then, the antenna will be lifted into place.

After that, wiring will continue and testing will commence.

It's possible WEAU will be transmitting the UHF signal from the new tower before the end of the year, but weather continues to play a big role on how long this build will ultimately take.
