Wagner's Lanes celebrates 65 years in Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – Wagner's Lanes in Eau Claire is celebrating its 65th anniversary Saturday.

The bowling alley welcomed the community to celebrate its milestone. For part of the day, patrons bowled for 35 cents, the price it was when the bowling alley first opened in the early 1950s.

Although renovations and changes have been made since Wagner’s opened, owner David Burg says their goal remains the same.

"There’s so many things that Wagner’s stands for. It’s about the community. We've had customers here for 50 years and we just really appreciate all the guests in Eau Claire that come here, our league bowlers and it’s a great place to have a business and I hope to be here for a long time if the community allows it,” said Burg.

Burg said the celebration will conclude with a $1000 balloon drop giveaway at 8:30 p.m.
