(WEAU) - Hundreds of people showed their support for the annual walk to end Alzheimer's.
The walk is one of the biggest fundraiser's for the Alzheimer's Association, which funds research for the disease.
Our own Judy Clark kicked off the event as the master of ceremonies.
The UW-Eau Claire marching band even joined in.
The event gives a voice to families personally affected by the disease.
"My father had dementia. My grandmother had dementia. You feel alone in this disease. This walk shows that over 500 people came out just to show you support," said Paula Gibson, Co-Chair of the event.
If you were at the event, then you may have seen our reporter Aaron Dimick along with Megan Lowry get dunked a few times.
The proceeds from 'Dunk for a Cure' also helped raise money going towards a goal of $60,000
