Walker: Romney the clear winner in debate

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – Governor Scott Walker says the first presidential debate in Denver was a rejuvenation for the Romney campaign and the Romney he once thought lacked passion is back on track.

Walker visited employees at Xcel Energy in Eau Claire on Thursday and even got a tour of the facility.

We asked the governor who he thought won last night’s debate and the answer is clear, he said.

“Anybody who objectively watched that debate saw that Mitt Romney had full command of the issues whether it was about credit problems that small banks have or everything he went into great detail but it came back to jobs it came back to the people he talked to in places like Wisconsin,” said Walker.

Walker said he contacted Mitt Romney last week and even gave him some suggestions on how to improve his campaign and add a little more passion to his debate.
