MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The latest campaign finance report filed by Democratic candidate for governor Mary Burke shows she raised about $502,000 in July, leaving her with $1.7 million in cash on hand ahead of the Aug. 12 primary.
Her Democratic primary rival, Brett Hulsey, raised $35 in July and had about $440 in cash at the end of the month.
Campaign finance reports filed earlier Monday by Republican Gov. Scott Walker show he raised $1.2 million in July, leaving him with $7.1 million on hand.
The state Government Accountability Board requires candidates to file finance reports covering roughly the month leading up to a primary by Monday at 11:59 p.m. Walker doesn't face a GOP primary opponent.
