Walker speaks at veterans home dedication

(WEAU) - Governor Walker stopped in Chippewa Falls Thursday afternoon to speak at the dedication of the new veterans home.

The new Wisconsin Veterans Home on East Park Avenue is a 78,000 square foot facility, with beds for 72 veterans. It will have a skilled nursing staff.

Walker attended the dedication and delivered the keynote speech.

The home says the admissions process is underway and the first veterans who would like to live at the home are expected to be admitted in early February.
