EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- An upcoming event at Fairfax Pool is aimed at keeping kids safe in the water.

The seventh annual Water Safety Fest is on July 12 at the pool. Parents and children who attend can play games that reinforce safe actions in and around water, throw life preservers, and practice keeping themselves stable on land while extending an object into the water to rescue someone.

You can participate if you have paid admission for the day or have a season pass. It starts at 1 p.m. and lasts until 3 p.m.
