Other berry farm’s still picking:

ELEVA, Wis (WEAU)--Like summer, blueberry season usually wraps up at the end of August. Some farmers say this year blueberry season may last into fall.
"Even two weeks ago we had people out here saying they didn't think we would have this many berries but this has been an unusual season," Andrea Nyseth said.
Andrea and Mark Nyseth with Blueberry Ridge Orchard in Eleva say the combination of a late spring, a cooler start to summer, and few storms have made this year’s crop one of the best!
"Probably the heaviest crop we've seen since we opened 10 years ago," said Mark Nyseth.
Mark says last year’s early freeze may have contributed to the berries growth this year too. He says their 20 acres all still have berries and he expects the berries will stay ready for picking for a couple more week, making this one of the longest seasons he's seen.
"They are still some ripening so we will be picking this weekend and beyond depending on the weather and who comes to pick," Mark said.
And Mark says the summer heat has made the berries even sweeter.
Blueberry Ridge Orchard has extended their hours for picking because of the big crop. This week they are open Thursday through Monday from 7am-7pm.
