West Allis detective to be laid to rest

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (AP) -- Law enforcement officers from across the state are expected to take part in the funeral procession for a suburban Milwaukee detective who died shortly after giving birth to twins.

Stacie Napoli died a week ago from complications related to the birth of her son and daughter. She was a 17-year veteran of the West Allis Police Department. The procession Monday starts at a New Berlin funeral home, stops at the West Allis Police Department and continues to a cemetery in New Berlin.

Mayor Dan Devine tells WISN-TV many in the community and elsewhere have contributed to a fund to help Napoli's family.

Flags are at half-staff in West Allis in honor of Napoli.
