LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) -- An area technical college is hoping remodeling its business building will better serve student’s needs and learning styles.
Western Technical College in La Crosse held a grand re-opening Tuesday for the Business Education Center.
The $1.2 million renovations include high tech classrooms and a Business Partnership Center.
The Business Partnership Center will allow students to do projects for different businesses in the community.
Western’s Dean of Business said they’re trying to make learning more real world and more hands on.
“We’re really trying to set up a professional environment where our students feel like business professionals from the day they walk into Western and give them that interactive learning environment,” said Gary Brown.
The remodeling was paid for with normal borrowing.
