Wife of Onalaska missing man makes a plea

ONALASKA, Wis (WEAU)- Wife of missing Onalaska man made a plea for help to find her husband.

45-year-old Dave Schroeder walked away from his home, 6262 Fox St. in the town of Onalaska last month. Investigators believe Schroeder left between 2:10 p.m. and 3:10 p.m.

He left all his personal belongings including his cell phone, medication, and wallet with all his credit cards at the home.

Foul play is not suspected in his disappearance, but it is believed that Dave may have found a ride from someone out of the area.

Dave is a noticeable man who is 6’ 5” tall and weighs 300 lbs. He has brown eyes, black graying hair, and has a limp that favors his right leg.

Dave’s wife Carla said that he was under more stress than usual the week before his disappearance. The couple has a disabled child that requires intensive supervision.

“My hopes are always that he is alive. Dave please come home. But my fear as time goes from the disappearance, I’m not sure what is going to happen,” said Carla Schroeder.

La Crosse County Sheriff has asked homeowners in the Brice Prairie area to search their property extensively for Dave. If anyone has any information about his whereabouts they are to contact the La Crosse County Sheriff at 608-785 5942.
