EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- It was a night full of wintry fun at Boyd Park in Eau Claire Thursday evening.
That's because it was the first night of Winter After Hours, hosted by Eau Claire Parks and Recreation and Volume One.
You can find ice skating, snowshoeing, winter kubb, a fire pit and even hot chocolate served by 'Half Moon' at Boyd Park every Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. until the end of February.
One dad at the event with his daughter says event's like this are a charge of pace from growing up in Tennessee.
"This is a little different for a southern boy, having it this cold, the ice skating. But it's a lot of fun. The hot cocoa, the ice sculptures, it's just a good family night," said John Conklin of Altoona.
His daughter Reagan said she enjoys ice skating the most at Winter After Hours.
