MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The Wisconsin Supreme Court has suspended a La Crosse attorney's law license for 90 days and ordered him get a mental health evaluation before it can be reinstated after he violated a harassment injunction.
According to an order the court released Wednesday, Randy Netzer pleaded guilty in 2011 to two misdemeanor counts of violating a 2009 harassment injunction preventing him from having contact with his ex-girlfriend. The order said Netzer took newspaper ads asking the woman to forgive him and telling her she would always be in his heart.
The order noted Netzer argued a 90-day suspension was excessive and he has been undergoing counseling. A call to a Wisconsin Bar Association listing for Netzer was met with a recorded greeting that said his voicemail was full.
