Man dies in motorcycle crash in Dodge Co.

TOWN OF ASHIPPUN, Wis. (AP) -- Dodge County authorities say a motorcycle driver who lost control on a sweeping left-hand curve has died after the motorcycle skidded off the road and into a ditch.

The sheriff's department says the 55-year-old Menominee Falls man was alone on the motorcycle when he was driving early Sunday morning near the Town of Ashippun.

Investigators say he was trying to negotiate the left turn when the motorcycle went onto the shoulder. The man tried to recover but the motorcycle overturned and he was thrown from the vehicle.

The man's name hasn't been released.
