Wisconsin DMV centers to close for Thanksgiving

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The state Division of Motor Vehicles is warning people that its customer service will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday.

But the DMV's automated phone system will remain available so motorists can make road test appointments and have access to recorded information.

Customers can do some services like license plate registration renewal and vehicle titling online or through the mail. It can also be handled by other third-party service providers such as some police stations, grocery stores and financial institutions around the state.

All DMV offices will resume regular hours on Monday, Dec. 2.
