MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Syrup lovers will get a chance to seriously indulge themselves next month at the state Department of Natural Resources' Maple Syrup Festival.

The festival is set for April 6 at the MacKenzie Center near Poynette. The DNR and the group Friends of MacKenzie will host the event, which will include tours of the center's sugarbush, demonstrations on how to extract sap from a maple tree, how to make syrup, talks about how American Indians and pioneers made maple syrup and an all-you-can eat pancake breakfast.

Admission is $7 for anyone 12 or older. Children between 3 and 11 cost $5.

The center also plans to offer an online chat about maple syrup on March 18.
