MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Police say a man suspected of fatally shooting a 25-year-old in Madison this weekend has been arrested in Colorado.
Police said Wednesday that 27-year-old Tyrone Isaac Jr. is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the Saturday killing of Darren Goodwan.
Police say Isaac went to a hospital in Dubuque, Iowa, after the shooting and said he was shot in the knee during a robbery. Police say he was shot by a friend of Goodwan's after the initial shooting.
Police say Isaac then took a taxi to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and got on a bus to Denver. He eventually surrendered to police in a Denver suburb.
He's being held in a Colorado jail pending extradition to Wisconsin. It wasn't immediately clear if he has an attorney.
