Woman accused of having drugs near school is sentenced

LADYSMITH, Wis. (WEAU)-- A woman arrested for having drugs in a home near a school was sentenced in Rusk County court Tuesday.

47-year-old Denise Morella of Ladysmith was ordered to serve four years in prison and six years of extended supervision.

In October of 2012, police arrested Morella and 31-year-old Randy Ross of Hayward after they found multiple kinds of drugs in their home near a school.

In November, Morella was found guilty of possessing an amphetamine and possession of THC as party to a crime.
