Woman accused of killing Stanley dentist sentenced to five years in prison

CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU)-- A Cadott woman convicted of hitting and killing a Stanley dentist was sentenced to five years in prison Thursday.

A judge handed down the sentence in Chippewa County court for 28-year-old Krista Holler. She was also ordered to serve five years of extended supervision.

In January, Holler pleaded guilty to one count of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. Three other charges were dismissed.

Deputies say 71-year-old Robert Tschabrun was hit by a car and killed while riding his bike just outside of Stanley on June 1st. Deputies later found out Holler was the driver of the car and she told investigators a friend picked her up from the scene. They say she never called to report it and was in a bar before the crash.
