Woman accused of killing boyfriend's dog

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU)-- A La Crosse woman was arrested after officers say she killed her boyfriend's dog.

La Crosse police say 32-year-old Selina Boulton broke into her boyfriend's apartment early Thursday and strangled his basset hound, Jixer, with a choke collar. Her boyfriend told police he wouldn't let her in his apartment so she broke in.

She was taken to jail and released on bond. Boulton is expected back in court Tuesday where she could face charges of mistreating an animal causing death, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.
