Woman accused of killing boyfriend's dog now charged

If convicted she will face up to a year in prison.

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The La Crosse woman accused of killing her boyfriend's dog appeared in court Wednesday.

Online court records show Selina Boulton, 32, is now charged with mistreating animals and disorderly conduct.

Police say last month she broke into her boyfriend's apartment and killed his basset hound, Jixer.

The man told police he and the woman were together that night, but he wouldn't let her into his house.

If convicted she faces nearly a year in prison.
