EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)-- An Eau Claire woman is accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from her father's estate.

According to the criminal complaint, 60-year-old Sandra Kirby is charged with three counts of theft for writing checks to herself, to others, and for ATM withdrawals using her father's money.

Investigators say Kirby became her father's power of attorney in 2007 and began stealing money until he died in 2011. The complaint says when a grandson became personal representative of the estate in 2011, he believed the estate had more than $700,000, but that most of the money had been spent.
