Woman hospitalized after Vernon County crash

One woman is hospitalized after she lost consciousness and crashed on U.S. Highway 14 in the Town of Viroqua.

Town of Viroqua, WI. PRESS RELEASE:
Vernon County Sheriff John B. Spears reports a single-vehicle crash that occurred on July 21, 2014 at approximately 6:35pm. The accident occurred on US Highway 14 in the Town of Viroqua.

Ginger Jacobs, age 48, of Rural Westby, WI was driving North on US Highway 14 when she lost consciousness, crossed the median into the south bound lane went up on the curb at the intersection of West Smith Road, struck a traffic sign and continued into a cornfield.

Ginger Jacobs was transported to Vernon Memorial by Tri-state Ambulance.

The crash remains under investigation by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office

Assisting the Vernon County Sheriff’s Department were the Westby First Responders, Westby Police, and Tri-State Ambulance.
