NEW INFORMATION: Bar fight suspects charged for death of woman in Barron County

BARRON COUNTY. Wis. (WEAU) - Two men have now been charged in connection to the death of a woman who was run over by a car and killed.

Online court records show Benjamin Biron, 26, is charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and hit and run, involving death.

It also shows Ryan Mazurek, 26, is charged with substantial battery with intentional bodily harm.

Barron County deputies say Michelle Lowe, 35, was killed when she was run over in the Staples Bar parking lot early Friday morning.

The criminal complaint says that witnesses told deputies that Biron and Mazurek got into an argument that spilled into the parking lot, leading to Lowe being backed and driven over.

The complaint says Biron admitted to being the driver of the vehicle and says Mazurek was his passenger.


BARRON COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU)--The Polk County Sheriff's Department has released the name of the woman killed after a fight at a bar early Saturday.

Deputies say she is 35-year-old Michelle S. Lowe of rural Luck. They say she was hit by a vehicle in the parking lot of the Staples Lake Bar.

BARRON COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) -- Two men are under arrest and one woman is dead after a fight at a bar.

Deputies got the call at about 2:30 Saturday morning to Staples Bar about 10 miles west of Cumberland.

Police say there were multiple injuries, including a woman who died after being run over in the parking lot as two suspects fled the scene.

Deputies caught up with the two men at a home in Barron County and arrested 26-year-old Benjamin A. Biron of Comstock and 26-year-old Ryan M. Mazurek of Barronett.

Comstock is being held on charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle. Mazurek is charged with substantial battery for injuries to another victim.

Police say the incident is still under investigation...and are not yet releasing the victim's name.
