Woman killed in two car crash in Hager City
PIERCE COUNTY, Wis (WEAU)--A Hager City woman is dead after a two car crash on U.S. Highway 63 near 220th Avenue.
50-year-old Brenda Bemis was killed when the car she was riding in was rear-ended.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department says the vehicle was traveling south. The driver, Kalea Stewart, 22, slowed down or stopped to wait for northbound traffic to clear. That was so she could turn into a private driveway. Deputies say that’s when another southbound vehicle rear-ended the car.
Stewart and a three-year-old passenger were taken to the hospital with undetermined injuries. The two people in the second vehicle were not hurt. The crash is under investigation.
