Woman rescued from house fire in Eau Claire
EAU CLAIRE, Wis (WEAU) -- A woman is recovering at a local hosptial after being rescued from a house fire.
The Eau Claire Fire Department says they were called to a house fire on Lowes Creek Road around 3:45 Saturday afternoon.
A passerby reported a woman hanging out of second story window.
When the fire department arrived they found a fire on the first floor of the home.
Crews and the passerby used a ladder to rescue the woman from the window.
She was treated and transported to a local hospital.
The cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation.
