"Y" land transfer approved

(WEAU) - The Eau Claire City Council voted 9-2 Tuesday night to trade land parcels with the YMCA for a building project.

4-years ago, the "Y" bought land on Menomonie Street near the entrance to Carson Park to put up a new building. That building fell short on funding.

With Tuesday night's vote, the "Y" will plan to build along Galloway Street instead, on land the city currently owns.
