Young professionals meet at Big Kid Extravaganza

(WEAU) - Ever miss being a kid? Some adults in Eau Claire Thursday night took the chance to act like a big kid.

The Young Professionals of the Chippewa Valley hosted their Big Kid Extravaganza at the Children's Museum of Eau Claire. People had the chance to explore the museum, while also going on a scavenger hunt and networking with other professionals and chamber board members.

Organizers say the group hopes to show young professionals that the Chippewa Valley is a great place live.

Special Programs Director for the Young Professionals, Katy Kiley told us Thursday "we really want to keep them here in the Eau Claire/Chippewa Falls area and show them what a great place this is to live and work. It's just a really nice way to kind of get your foot into something and meet some other like-minded people and shape the community for the future."

A portion of the ticket price to the event went to the museum's Access Fund, allowing less fortunate families a membership to the museum.
