Zion Lutheran Church vandalized

CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) - The Zion Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls was vandalized early Friday morning.

Dan Marcell of the Chippewa Falls Police Department says it happened around 3 a.m. He says a window was broken on one of the main entry doors.

He tells us a witness saw a group of people throwing things on the road and later throwing a park bench that was next to the church into Duncan creek.

The witness said there were three males and one female in the group.

When officers responded no suspects could be found. No further damage was done, and nothing is reported stolen.

The Chippewa Falls Police Department is asking for help if anyone has any information.

They ask you to call (715) 720-6944 with information.
